SPEED SKATING COACH POSITION
Call for applications - Centre d’entraînement Gaétan-Boucher (CEGB)
The CEGB offers athletes coaching and training opportunities in a world-class sports facility, excellent support services in an harmonious personal development path toward high performance. Depending on the athletes' profile and aspirations, the service offering addresses long track, short track, and an “hybrid program” covering both disciplines.
Its approach is based on three development axes (sport, personal and social) for athletes who aspire to international and Olympic podiums.
The activities of the CEGB are under the wing of La Corporation de gestion du Centre de glaces de Québec and the activities take place at Centre de glaces Intact Assurance.

The CEGB Academy has more than 120 skaters registered year-round, many of whom are identified by Speed Skating Quebec. They compete alongside members of the National Team, including Olympic medalists Laurent Dubreuil and Valérie Maltais, as well as athletes identified as Next-Gen by Speed Skating Canada.
In association with four schools, the CEGB Academy is also mandated to deliver the Sport-Études program between September and June as well as a summer program (from May to August). It attracts dozens of athletes from across the province.
Coaches works as a team and collaborate with several technical support resources, including a physical trainer and physiotherapists. They are part of a community of enthusiasts delivering proven programs, they benefit from professional development opportunities and interact with institutional partners.
- Part-time positions (15 to 20 hours per week);
- Work location: Centre de glaces Intact Assurance, occasional travel required during competitions;
- Salary in accordance with the salary policy,
- University education (physical education, sports intervention or kinesiology) and high-level coaching experience are assets;
- Cell phone allowance ;
- Group insurance plan and employer contribution to your RRSP (if applicable) ;
- Note: criminal background checks are required
